Lesley J. Hubbard has spent twenty years in design and the last ten leading UX inside large regulated enterprises. Her work sits in healthcare and financial services, where a confusing screen can mean a missed deadline, a compliance failure, or someone making a consequential financial decision badly.
She owns the whole arc: research, personas and journey maps, information architecture and user flows, wireframes and prototypes, and the partnership with engineering that decides whether any of it survives the build. Regulated complexity is where she does her best work, whether that means multi-plan transitions, clinical operations workflows, or distribution rules that come straight from the IRS.
At Prudential Financial she led the redesign of the NewYork-Presbyterian retirement experience, which won the 2020 Eddy Award from Pensions & Investments, and built the reusable components and templates that cut repetitive work across enterprise client sites. At Empower she was promoted from Senior to Lead Designer for design leadership and enterprise AI adoption, bringing AI-assisted workflows into research synthesis and documentation and turning them into practice the whole team used. Earlier, inside CIGNA's Clinical Information Technology group, she mapped clinical workflows and helped prepare 300+ clinical operations staff for a new platform.
She holds a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Connecticut, a Regional Emmy from NATAS for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Graphic Design, and certifications in Scrum Product Ownership and Business Analysis.
